Predatory Pricer On Track For A 2010 Cox Plate Start

June 17th, 2010

On the 23rd of October this year, the illustrious $3 million Group 1 W.S. Cox Plate (2040m) is due to jump, and as one of Australia’s most prestigious events, is drawing some of the best horses from around the nation.

The four-year-old is currently in pre-training, with the Street Cry offspring recently arriving at Mick Price’s Caulfield stable.

Held at the Moonee Valley Racecourse as part of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, the 2010 Cox Plate is already looking to provide a superb line up.

Predatory Pricer will aim to make his comeback in the 2010 Cox Plate, after overcoming a wrenched joint which he suffered in last year’s Caulfield Cup (2400m).

The four-year-old is currently in pre-training, with the Street Cry offspring recently arriving at Mick Price’s Caulfield stable where he will get into full training for the spring carnival racing in Melbourne.

A possible warm up event for Predatory Pricer is the Group 2 Liston Stakes (1400m) which will take place on the 14th of August at Caulfield, and will allow the horse to retain his title which he won last year ahead of this season front runners Whobegotyou, Typhoon Tracy and Heart of Dreams.

Having never won a Group One event, the four-year-old has four times placed in a group race, and was a half-head away from claiming the elite Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) last year from Efficient.

Also preparing for a start in the 2010 Cox Plate is the world champion Gloria De Campeao, in what will no doubt be another thrilling chapter for the history books.
