The 2010 Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival Pin & Win Charity Revealed

The Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival – a major part of spring carnival racing in Australia is due to jump on the 31st of July with the Bletchingly Stakes Day.

This year the official charity partner of the Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival is the Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria.

Hosting some of the more prolific races such as the Caulfield Guineas, the Thousand Guineas and the Caulfield Cup – many spectators from around the nation head to the racetrack to get in on the action.

This year the official charity partner of the Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival is the Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria which will receive all proceeds from the sales of the BMW Caulfield Cup lapel pins.

Scheduled to take place on the 16th of October this year, the 2010 Caulfield Cup is one of the richer races in the spring carnival at $2.5 million and draws huge crowds to the Caulfield track.

Around four per cent of people in Victoria are expected to have epilepsy in their lifetime – which equates to 220,000 people and is a disease of the function of the brain resulting in seizures.

The money raised will go towards helping those already living with epilepsy, their families and in providing facilities to help make their lives a little bit easier, while also funding research into the disorder.

The 2010 Caulfield Cup lapel pins cost $5 and are available for purchase now, with each one making a difference to an individual living with epilepsy, and buyers also entered into a draw to win fabulous prizes.

As the official 2010 Pin & Win Charity, the major prize is ‘The Ultimate Racing Experience’ for the Boxing Day meet this year, including ten passes to the Official MRC Luncheon and a behind the scenes tour of the course worth a huge $10,000.
