The final field and barrier draw has been announced for the $400,000 event. It will see a quality group of 12 three-year-old fillies take to the track for a chance to take the Group 1 title.
The two top contenders are well worth considering for an each way bet.
The field is led by the very talented More Strawberries. The Gai Waterhouse-trained filly is on hot streak as she goes into this one on the heels of two fantastic wins in the Furious Stakes (1400m) and the Tea Rose Stakes (1500m). Her chances of winning seem all the better after the barrier draw revealed she’d be jumping from the coveted barrier number one position. Jockey Nash Rawiller will be in the saddle.
While plenty of punters are backing the Waterhouse filly to win, she will be going up against a familiar foe in the Peter Snowden-trained Parables. The two have gone up against one another in their past three outings. While More Strawberries has two out of three wins, she did run fourth to Parables in the Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) in late August. Parables shares the favourite status at many online betting sites as she, too, is listed at $2.70 to win.

Other noteworthy horses to watch include the Tim Martin-trained Sasa and stable mate Fibrillation. The two have been showing promise and have a good chance of placing in the upcoming $400,000 event.
