Jockey Yet to be Confirmed for Au Revoir in 2014 Melbourne Cup

Displaying a keen turn of foot to finish a credible third in the Group 2 Moonee Valley Cup (2500m) in what was his maiden Australian appearance last weekend, OTI Racing has confirmed classy French raider Au Revoir is still without a confirmed rider just one week out from the 2014 Melbourne Cup.

Securing a commendable race record of three wins and as many minor places from his 14 competitive starts so far, Au Revoir stamped his claims for a trip to Australia over a short three race preparation at the start of the year, highlighted by a close second in the Prix Lord Seymour (2400m) on April 17th.

Having run a credible fourth in the Group 2 Prix Foy (2400m) at Longchamp in his only other start this time in prior to the Moonee Valley Cup, OTI Racing’s Terry Henderson said the syndication feels no need to rush a decision for a 2014 Melbourne Cup jockey, with a decision to be made in due course.

Announcing his racing arrival over an impressive debut preparation through 2013, Au Revoir finishing third in the Prix Caius (1600m) first-up and continued to build in form and class through back-to-back wins in the Prix Jean Et Guy Roubaud (2450m) and Derby Du Languedoc (2400m).
